Welcome! The Barefoot Bee was established in the spring of 2008, in response to the crisis that honeybees currently face. We are located in Hollis, New Hampshire.

Since inception, our focus has been to raise honeybee awareness, make a positive contribution in the practice of beekeeping, and raise and direct funds to honeybee research.  In our efforts to accomplish these goals we initiated our apiary and a product line (items containing hive products of beeswax and honey), from which a portion of the proceeds is directed to research. 

Our company’s name is in recognition to all the bees that land barefoot in their environment.    For a minute, just think how careful we are whenever we’re outside in our bare feet.  We’re careful not to step on anything dangerous, right?  We’re hoping our company name will give people pause to think, as honeybees for the same reason, need a safe environment in which to thrive.  With just a little knowledge, we might all be able to do a small part in helping out our fellow honeybee.  So, next time any of us are out in our garden or caring for our lawns, we can think of the beautiful little honey bee that visits for her nectar and needs our protection. They are vital and precious to our ecosystem and food supply.

• Hand poured soaps, balms & hand creams containing beeswax and honey.
